
The Belcher sea snake also known as Hydrophis belcheri. It is non aggressive snake but it,s venom highly neurotoxin and myotoxin. According to some studies Belcher sea snake is the most venomous sea snake n the World.
The length of this snake probably 1 to 2 metre. most of these species has dark yellowish, dark brownish or dark bluewish colour. these snakes avoid to contacts with humans. nature of these snakes are not aggressive but venom of these snakes considering the most venomous and poisoning venom in the World.
The first specie discovered in 1849. Belcher’s sea snake, which many times is mistakenly called the hook-nosed sea snake (Enhydrina schistosa), has been erroneously popularized as the most venomous snake in the world, due to Ernst and Zug’s published book Snakes in Question: The Smithsonian Answer Book from 1996.
Symptoms of a serious bite include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Headaches and dizziness
- Difficulty speaking or swallowing
- Respiratory failure, which is the leading cause of death
